I’ve always been a believer that great design can change a mind. Thoughtful design can lead a customer at retail to select one product over another. Functional, well-designed web sites drive traffic or attract clients. A well done billboard or print ad draws attention which in turn increases sales.
Throughout my career I have committed myself to creating effective design through the understanding of hierarchy, composition and typography. I particularly enjoy hunting for the perfect font, and have been known to base entire designs around a typeface. I also enjoy pointing out billboards, books or web sites that use fonts that I have used. My friends love it! (But not really). 🙂
Great design lies in the details. A detail-oriented designer has the ability to make the end product look finished through small touches… this can elevate a good design to a great one. I pride myself on my attention to detail. A designer must also be adaptable. I have worked on a wide variety of projects across various industries… whether it is a menu design for an upscale catering company or a colorful, vibrant children’s book, I can adapt my skills to create a visually impactful end result.
